From the Tatras to the South
project details
Graphic design, book publication
A graphic adaptation of a children’s book for writer and author Simona Frič Hudú – a beautiful story of a little marmot from under the Tatra Mountains, who sets out with his friends to discover other countries and cultures. I created the illustrations using a combination of generative tools and art collage. Each animal was created as a separate object, which I then set into the scenes. Gradually I refined the expressions, positions, details such as the groundhog’s scarf, flag case, fur, shadows or lights – all to give it feeling, character and lightness. The design of the booklet was fine-tuned with an emphasis on the mood of the story, the emotions and the atmosphere of the story.
