In 2004, while studying at the Academy of Fine Arts, I took part in a competition to create a logo for the city of Bratislava. I had a relatively precise idea how to design a logo. A simple stylized silhouette of the castle with an accent on the line of the hill on which the castle majestically stands. The blue metallic colour underlines the energy of the water from the Danube river. The river is a feminine element and the colour of the logo was meant to support its essentiality. 610 authors participated in the competition with 966 designs. Mine was awarded 4th place with an honorable mention from the Mayor and the competition judges.
